Women Friendly Riding

Are you passionate about cycling, and looking to take your riding further by joining regular club and training rides?

We have many women riders of all ages and skill levels, but we always welcome more women to the club to take part in our weekly rides. Whether you are an experienced racer or a newer rider looking to improve your skills, we encourage you to join us.

Support

We understand that joining a new cycling club can be intimidating, which is why we offer support to all new members. When you first attend one of our rides, we will ensure that you are paired with an experienced female rider who can guide you through the group riding skills you need to know.

If you are interested in joining Bristol Road Club, please contact Ali Cameron for more information.

Training

At Bristol Road Club, we offer a range of opportunities for female cyclists to get involved in the sport. We have regular training rides. Our goal is to support all our members in achieving their cycling goals, whether that’s increasing your speed and distance, getting out with a club regularly, or competing in local races.

BRC Sister Club: Lunar Cycles

Lunar Cycles is the sister club of BRC. It is a great option for those who don’t want to ride in mixed-sex groups, or who want to use the group as a stepping stone to the BRC Saturday club ride (where groups start at 90-110km at approx 25-27km/h). Lunar cycles aims to provide women rides and to increase visibility of women cycling.  The group welcomes anyone identifying as women, non-binary or gender non-conforming. Lunar Cycles run 2 rides per month – one around 40-60km at <21 km/h, the other 70-100km at 21-24 km/h. These are non-drop rides. Details of the rides can be found on the Club Rides page under Lunar Cycles. Club Rides
