Summer Racing Round Up

Bristol Road Club cyclists have delivered impressive performances in summer racing events. Here are the highlights:

  • Castle Combe Round 7 – Thursday June 22nd: The Cat 3/4 race saw a really well taken 2nd place for BRC’s Ed Trevor-Jones, after coming from a long way back in a large bunch sprint, Ed had a lead out from Dave Manlow, who took an impressive 5th place. Conor Crilly and Brian O’Kelly also competed strongly in the race.
  • Castle Combe Round 6 – Thursday June 15th: A great win for Lui Pollastrone in the Cat 3/4, taking him up to Cat 2. Conor Crilly finished 9th, while Cian Bryant secured a commendable 15th.
  • Gillingham Wheelers Summer Road Race – on Sunday 4th Jun: Harvey Thomas achieved an impressive 4th place, closely followed by Dave Manlow in 5th place.
  • Castle Combe 3/4 Race – Thursday, May 25th: Lui Pollastrone demonstrated his consistency with a strong 3rd place finish.
  • Bristol South CC Road Race – Sunday 14th May: On the Stowey Circuit – Marco Panfilo impressed with a 3rd place finish, Chris Bowie-Hill secured 8th place, and Conor Crilly finished in 15th place.
  • Castle Combe Summer Series Round 2 – Thursday 11th May:  Lui Pollastrone continued his success in the Cat 3/4, securing an excellent 2nd place finish following up his 4th the previous week from a race long break away.
